Droges

Droges

New comer Devin Payne steps into the main card against top dog Eduardo Filho Friday night.
although he showed promise he also showed his inexperience and allowed Fillho to walk away with the
'W'.

Droges: "Devin's training was strong, he was confident and we thought he had it. Filho is tough and deserved the win, there is not much more I can say."

When asked about the post fight comments and possibley putting to much pressure on his debut, Droges
replied;

"Yes I did put to much pressure on Payne, we wanted this victory so bad and really thought we could take it. Its not fair to him. He went out and put on a hell of a fight and showed that he can give Filho trouble. All said and done he is only 0-1 against top competition."

When asked if Payne is recovering and if he will be returning in Fight Force 6;

Droges: "Payne took his mistakes hard and he payed for them with the beating he recieved, however he is healing nicely and may return in Fight Card 6"

Payne: "I am going out there to put on exciting fights and put fans in stands.
Filho hasn't seen the last of me, I will be back and this time finish the job."

When Management was asked about Cesar's possible retirment in the WW Greg Martin
was ready to comment:

Martin: "So Cesar thinks he has the ww division locked and will just retire us such after his next fight if he wins it? 4 fights and 4 wins would be something to be impressed about but the league is still young and thats a big "IF", if he wins. For him to come in and demand this and that in this short of time someone needs to shut him up."

Interviewer: "Are you saying you want the last fight on his contract?"

Martin: "I have been training hard with Nick Diaz and am feeling good from my break. Unfortunate that
our weight division is thin which doesn't leave me many options to who to fight. If WF has me go up against him then i wont duck him, I have been training hard and will be a different fighter then the first time we fought"

Comments on Brandan Silkowski dodging Cesar Cyborg:

Martin: "WF gives us the option to choose our fights..... . If Brandan wants to avoid Cesar because of the possible drug allegations that Atlantic Kick Boxing is under, or whatever the reason, thats his choice. I have everything to prove against him as well. He schooled me hard last time but if we meet again, I plan on giving him more to deal with."

Interviewer: "Droges, does this mean both your fighers will be signing up with FC6?"

Droges: "We are always training and FC6 is still a ways away... A busy time coming up with Christmas which may slow that down. But yes if all goes well, Martin and Payne do plan on stepping foot back into the cage to prove they belong here."
