Fight Force 9 .. what can be said? Well f'ning Awesome comes to mind.

We had Scott Crawford continue his win streak but not before Jay Azevedo tested him.
We had Paulo Savalas come out and light up a KOTN.
We had 2 vets of OMMA go out and give the fans their monies worth
with a fight that went to the cards; Charles Carter beats Devin Payne with a split decision.

Heavyweight Matchup
Reggie Ray vs Massimo Nakamura
Winner: No Contest

This fight never goes down because Massimo Nakamura, again is a no show. People wonder what his Management is doing.

Heavyweight Matchup
Hector Martinez vs Paulo Savalas
Winner: Paulo Savalas Wins via KO Rd.1 KOTN

Paulo Savalas, came out on his debut and fireworks went off. He blasted and smashed
poor Hector Martinez into unconsciousness. Once the fight went to the ground Savalas
unleashed deadly elbows and hammer fist until the late stoppage.

Welterweight Matchup
Jay Azevedo vs Scott Crawford
Winner: Scott Crawford Wins by Submission Rd.3 SOTN

Scott Crawford notches up another win against a tough adversary, Jay Azevedo.
This fight was back and forth with submission attempts by both guys.
In the end though, 3rd round to be exact, Crawford locked and secured a traingle choke to make Azevedo tap.
Jay Azevedo had a long break and being out of action may have been a factor however his fans loved
that he was back and he did put on an impressive show even though he lost.
Scott Crawford is gunning for the belt with an OMMA record of 2-1. He is undefeated in FF so far.

Light Heavyweight Matchup
Charles Carter vs Devin Payne
Winner: Charles Carter wins via Split Decision FOTN

Charles Carter goes up against Devin Payne in what will surely be a memorable fight for some time.
3 rounds were not enough for even some Judges to confirm a true winner however someone had to be
and it was Carter.
Many critics agreed with this decision, Carter controlled the action for the most part with ground control and repeated take downs.
Payne managed to secure full mount in the end of round1 but only had 3 seconds left.
Round2 & 3 was much the same with Carter controlling Payne on the ground. Payne managed to get to his feet a few times and his fans roared for him to lay a beat down but Carter's movement was able to avoid most of his incoming attacks.

Carter is now 2-2.
Payne, disapointed has a record 0-4 now.

Fans are anxious for a rematch and Devin was quoted saying they have unfinished business.
