Its been awhile since we seen an upset and the fans who piled into the Event Horizon to see the #2 pound for pound fighter defend his belt once again were not aware that another was about to happen.

Gonzo Miller vs Eddie Payne
Jui Jitsu practitioner Gonzo Miller made his return after a long layoff against top contender Eddie Payne. Little was known about Miller's current status coming into the fight. Would the long layoff prove to be too much or was he spending his time training hard. Well just seconds into the 1st round those questions were answered as Miller immediately took Payne down and kept him there finishing the fight a few minuted later in classic Miller fashion. Payne seem to be caught completely off guard as Miller overwelmed him with superior grappling and didnt allow him to mount any type of offense. The 7th Starr Jiu Jits trainer look spectacular dominating the fight from start to finish making his return a successful one.

Peyton McGrath vs Dan Woods
Top Fight Force heavyweight Peyton McGrath made his debute saturday against vicious kickboxer Dan Woods. Both fighters came out pumped as they made their way to the ring. McGrath was looking for his 1st Bushido won and Woods was looking to rebound from his loss to the former heavyweight champion Rick bowman. The fight started with McGrath immediately applying pressure and landing a few good strikes followed with a quick takedown attempt. Woods stuffed it and shortly after rocked McGrath with a solid teep to the body. McGrath recover quickly but seemed to still be hurt by the shot. Woods saw this and landed another teep to the body rocking McGrath for a second time but this time he was able to capitalize and drop McGrath shortly after. From this point it was all downhill for McGrath as he spent the rest of the fight desperately trying to get the fight to the ground. Woods managed to keep the fight standing and pick away at McGrath until eventually knocking McGrath down again and forcing the ref to step in and call the fight. It was an impressive showing by Woods.

Co-Man Event - Yves Kang vs Pedro Rodriguez
Coming off of a brutal loss to top pound for pound fighter and middleweight champ Anderson Silva, top contender Yves Kang looked to rebound with a victory over Pedro Rodriguez who was making his Bushido debute. Kang started the fight with a few taunts that would prove to be a bad idea as Rodriguez rocked Kang with a crushing right and followed it up with a few more shots that dropped Kang. Kang recovers and Rodricuez stands back up. From this point it was clear Rodriguez came to fight and wasnt going to be a stepping stone. The fight which was later awarded "Fight of the Night" went back and forth with both fighters landing multiple combos giving the fans one hell of a fight. Kang didnt seem to be phased by it and kept taunting Rodriguez. This didnt bother Rodriguez at all as he continued to apply pressure and eventually made Kang pay for his disrespectful behavior knocking him down for a second time a little over half way into the 1st round. This time Kang wasnt able to recover forcing the ref to stop the fight. It was an impressive debute for Rodriguez. One can only imaging whats next for him.

Main Event - Greg Crawford vs Colt Kang
Welterweight champion and #2 pound for pound fighter Greg Crawford stepped into the ring putting his undefeated record on the line against top contender Colt Kang. The fight started off slow as both fighters looked tentative but that didnt last long as both fighters opend up and the fireworks began. It was another great back and forth battle as not even 2 minutes in Kang rocked Crawford with a wicked body shot. Crawford recoverd and it was back to the brutal back and forth action that the fans came to see. A few moments later Kang rocked Crawford again with a solid right straight then obtained the clinch looking to take the hurt Crawford down but Crawford once again was able to recover. Crawford then seemed to turn up the pressure and put Kang in a bit of trouble eventually clinching Kang and taking him down. Kang defended well and managed to get back to his feet. Crawford continued with the pressure and just when it seemed he had Kang on his way out Kang unleashed a devistating counter left hook that sent Crawford crumbling to the mat. Kang quickly pounced and landed a few more unanswered strikes before the ref seen enough. The Bushido fans were in shock as a new welterweight champion was crowned.

As the fans vacated the arena many left with shocked looks on their faces as they were still unable to grasp what just happened. Never the less, it was great night at the Event Horizon as Bushido delivers another event full of amazing fights. There were a few upsets with one resulting in the crowning of a new champ. One can only imagine what the next event holds.
