Former Fight Force Welterweight Champion Scott Crawford retired today after a short but stellar career. He ended with a 6-3 record. 5 of those wins were by stoppage. One of our reporters had the chance to talk with him and this is what he had to say in regards to his reasoning behind the early retirement:
"I think its time. I have been hit in the head one to many times and its time to sit back and be with my family. I'm also gonna be training the younger generation. I've had a great time putting on shows for the fans and I hope they got their money's worth. Hopefully some of the fighters I train will get a chance at the lime light like I did and put on some great fights. Thanks to all of those who supported me."
It was a great run and a joy to watch and I think I can speak for the fans here in saying we wished it wouldnt be ending so soon.
