CC users do have a distinct advantage in Striking. It is signifcant enough that a CC user does have the edge in striking, there combos are faster, plain and simple. There weakness though, from what I found out, is movement and controlling the pace. If they are being over aggressive, let them wear themselves out and comeback, but control yourself. Pace yourself, all fights dont need to end in the first round. Also know how to use the ring your in, Circle Cage is the hardest to mange, then comes the boxing ring. Learn how to trap them from moving. The ground game is where i feel I am best at.
That is basically setting up things, like they say strike to pass, pass to strike. I also say strike to sub as well. Confusion is the biggest advantage you can get in the ground game. From the start you usually end in open guard, unless you go for a clinch TD them most of the time you land in half, or side mount. If your in open your main goal is to watch out for the sub on bottom, and get to half. Control your self though. Dont worry and take your time. If you get stood up, thats okay, you were on top, and got a TD, that is usually a good thing. Patience is key in the ground game.
Rest is up to you to find out. Find your style.
