Droges

Droges

Due to what appears to be budge cuts or whatever it could be, iOMMA has finally caught up to the latest belt holder, TJ Crawford.

Possibilties to the off topic rumour of the funds problem could be related to the division of the league. Howerver, whatever the reason could be OMMA is filling seats and making a bright future for itself.WF was not available for comment regarding the rumor.

iOMMA caught up with TJ Crawford on a tremendous climb through the ranks to win the first LHW belt in the stack division of Bushido. TJ Crawford won the belt against Tony Velocity in Bushido12 "TJ Crawford vs Tony Velocity" at a sold crowd in Event Horizon.

iOMMA has finally got the go ahead to interview TJ Crawford on his performance and what it is like to be the first at LHW to hold the belt.

iOMMA: "I am here with the man.. TJ Crawford on taking home the LHW belt at bushido12.

Mr. Crawford.. First off, congratulations on being the first and current LHW champion of OMMA Bushido. "

Crawford: "Thx man "

iOMMA:"You came up through the early ranks of OMMA to current all the while remaining on the down low.

But even then you had called out one of the most dominate fighters at the time, Eduardo Filho. That fight never happened until much later in your career but when it did, you called it and took care of business.

But then this new dog comes along, Tony Velocity. He stops you in your tracks with a vicious first round beat down. To him you were another notch on his successful record.

After that lose, your wish came true to take on the already mentioned Eduardo Filho.
Were you nervous about fighting him coming off a one sided lose?"

Crawford: "Yes!!!! My last match i had ring rust and came back to the mma ring to early with lack of training and a true plan to fight Tony. I got destroyed and embarrassed. Fighting Filho i knew that i had to step my game up to a new level pretty much and i reinvented myself completely."

iOmma: "So you win that fight and then get a rematch with your only lose at 5-1. Tony Velocity and for the belt to boot! Were you nervous about this fight? Did you feel an extra pressure added that it was for the belt as well? Or were you pumped for a chance for redemption and looked at it as all the sweeter feeling confident that you could take him?"

Crawford: "A little of both. I felt the pressure to redeem myself from my first lost so i train hardest i could to improve my strength, strategy, and technique in order to meet my new challenge. Also the thought of redeeming myself to my fan was very important to me and my MMA career."

iOmma: "Alright so lets get to the fight on that glorious night of Bushido12. So you guys come out just feeling each other out with both landing some nice hooks and kicks. But Tony then dropped you first but you were able to recover. You went for takedowns but Velocity wasn't having any of that.

Later in the first 10min round you then drop him and follow up a solid display of ground control and hard hitting ground and pound.

Coming from what could have been the exact same outcome the first time you guys met, what was your thoughts going into 2nd, if you can recall?"

Crawford: "First off i would like to thank my Little brother Greg on improving my ground control and my improve GnP which helped me defeat Filho but wasn’t at the level to put away tony. What was going through my man was how tough tony was. He withstanded a full match with me just pounding him! I found a new level for respect for tony and how tough he truly is as a fighter."

iOMMA: "Velocity is a tough, well rounded fighter but you clearly had him in dangerous territory in the first round. This was your gameplan in the 2nd and eventually managed to get it there again for the UD but not without facing his hard hitting standup.

Where you ever concerned about the deadly head kicks that he was landing on you?"

Crawford: "Very! Tony is a very dangerous striker on par with my level. Which in my own personal experience is very dangerous. "

iOMMA: "That was his ondoing as well. Kicks. It look like you waiter for those kicks and went for the take down to secure the win and the belt!

what an impressive career you have had so far in OMMA. What do you want to say to your fans, camp, OMMA and future challenagers, Mr. Bushido Light Heavey Weight Champion?"

Crawford: "That i am always changing and iam ready to take on any challenger who wants to try to take my belt away from me!"

iOMMA: "Speaking of that, your next fight is a force in Bushido, PJ Martinez. This should be a great test to you for your first title defense whats next if you win that fight?"

Crawford: After i fight PJ and win i want to rematch Tony for a rubber match!

iOMMa: "Well TJ Crawford, what a victory and rematch with Velocity. Congrats again and good luck in your future fights."
