Brock Lee , here at the BUSHIDO Fan Expo and I'm joined at this time by the undefeated Terrance Silva. Thank you for giving us this time Terrance, and thank you for being here
No Problem , No Problem.
We'll start with the basics here.Where do you train at?
Currently, I train with Disorderly Conduct, they're like a family to me.
how long have you been training before you made your debut?
Before I made my Debut? Around 2-3 years, going to various kickboxing schools, and building up my ground game.
Now you are one of the few who are able to garner a victory when making your debut in BUSHIDO, how does it feel to get a victory in your first outing in one of the most competitive environments any fighter could be in?
Ah, it felt great. I guess when you come in with an attitude that you're going to win, you can't lose, right?
Speaking of that debut, you were facing the now retired Bushido Veteran Masaru Maeda. Was there any significance to stepping in the cage with him?
To be quite honest, I hadn't heard of him before the match up. After that, I sat down with my trainers and watched some of his fights, and saw his gameplan, and exploited the holes I saw.
I have also been told that this was the fastest Tko in the history of both BUSHIDO and FIGHT FORCE?
If it isn't, I'll be surprised. I think it was a whole thirty-ish seconds? I don't know, all I know is that it was quick.
How does it feel to be the only man who was able to defeat Maeda in his tenure in BUSHIDO?
It feels great. Only after the fight was I shown how much of a legend he had become.
What do you have to say to the people that have said that your victory was a fluke and that you will be a flash in the pan?
Whoever thinks that I'm a 'flash in the pan' can come get it. I'm here to stay, I've beaten the top dawg in bushido like he was an amatuer. I mean, really?
on that note, do you regret that the possibility of a rematch was nixed after this?
To be honest, I'd fight him again. I mean, I think this time he'd give me a little bit more of a challenge, but nothing I couldn't surmount.
Your managment team is talking big things with the president of BUSHIDO for the upcoming "Day of Reckoning" Card. Do you have anything that you could maybe share with us about the meetings? perhaps if you are fighting on the card or who your opponent may be?
Well, I'm looking to fight a top contender, so whoever they feel is up to my caliber, bring it. I'm not afraid of anyone here, as I've probably got the best stand up, takedown defense, and ground game in the heavyweight division.
Well thank you for being here and Finally do you have anything to say in closing to the fans?
I apologize for you guys not being able to see me in action the past few events, there was some sort of communication error, and they never found me an opponent. But I'm back, and better than ever.
Terrance Silva is a heavyweight fighter and will be fighting this weekend at BUSHIDO 9 "Day of Reckoning" Live From Japan.
