UC60 Man vs Swagger

Main Card

BW Title Bout – (C) IP Man (4-1) vs #1 Bob Lee Swagger (2-0)

Coming off the heels of back to back 55 second knockouts to burst onto the scene Swagger gets his title shot against the gritty veteran IP Man. Swagger has been calling his shot before his fights and calling out higher ranked opponents afterwards. Once he KO'd #2 ranked Cort Walker in under a minute, it was time to put him on the fast track towards the gold. The defending champion is a tough out for anyone in the bantamweight division but he has been knocked out before. Swagger claims he will take his time, pick his shots and become the new UC world champion.

MW Title Bout #4 Dante Young (2-0) vs #5 Anderson Silva (23-10)

A former two-time bushido Middleweight champion Anderson Silva takes on Dante Young to decide the new UC Middleweight Champion. Dante welcomed himself to the division scoring two highlight reel KO’s and looks to add the gritty veteran to his resume. Silva however has other plans as he claims to just be entering his prime and with the experience of over 30 fights under his belt, it could be a long night for Young. While Young has never been to the scorecards he has also never had an opponent near the caliber of Silva. The undefeated newcomer Dante Young will surely have his hands full when he faces his toughest test to date, future hall of famer Anderson Silva.

LHW Bout #3 Juju Nakamura (2-1) vs #4 Joao Pedro Cruz (3-2)

We continue this stacked card with our feature bout of the evening as hungry contender Joao Pedro Cruz takes on the always exciting Juju Nakamura. Cruz is riding high on the momentum of his biggest win to date by upsetting the aforementioned former UC LHW champion Jon Jones(19-5). Jones put up a great fight but Cruz proved to the world he belongs in the upper echelon of the division. Nakamura on the other hand is a man who lives and dies by the sword having never left the 1st round in either of his victories or defeat. What makes this fight even more interesting is the man who Nakamura beat to earn a possible number one contender fight, Dakota Hobbs KO’d Cruz in the first round in Joao Pedro’s debut back at UC54. All this spells excitement for fans in a fight that could decide the next challenger for the Light Heavyweight strap.

WW Bout #4 Thomas Tucka (6-5) vs #14 Damien Silva (1-0)

The next fight on the main card features undefeated prospect Damien Silva against the former UC Welterweight champion Thomas Tucka. Do not be fooled by Tucka’s record while he started his career 0-3, something seemed to click as he went on a three fight win streak which earned him a shot against then champion Andre Galvao. With a sensational performance Thomas knocked Galvao out in the 5th round in one of the greatest title fights UC fans have seen. Not much is known about the young upstart Damien Silva who will enter this fight as a huge underdog looking to make his name off the UC Welterweight staple Thomas Tucka and break into the top 5 of the division.

LHW Bout #5 Jon Jones (19-5) vs #9 Alec Fountain (1-1)

We start another loaded card with former UC Light Heavyweight champion Jon Jones pitted against hungry top 10 contender Alec Fountain. After dropping a close fight to the current undefeated champion Michael Thompson (4-0) Jon Jones has been trying to turn things around and get back to his winning ways. He seems to have done that with an impressive performance knocking out Claigh Knick but he wants to show fans he’s not settling with top 5, he’s coming back for his belt. Alec Fountain will have to prove to the division he deserves to be considered top 10 and looks to make a name for himself on the back of former champ and UC hall of famer, Jon Jones.

Preliminary fight to watch

BW Bout #3 Enson Ito (2-2) vs #6 Oscar Meyer (1-3)

The last fight on the prelims before we start our main card is a bantamweight fight where the stakes could not be higher. Top 5 staple Enson Ito takes on a man looking to break into the top 5 himself Oscar Meyer. Ito looks to rebound from a tough first round KO loss to the man defending the belt in our main event, IP Man. Enson looked good early but got caught and claims we haven’t seen the last of him yet. Meyer on the other hand looks to rebound himself from a first round KO loss to a man he previously beat, Ima King. After tasting the championship experience Enson Ito promises he will be back to fight for the title again and that could spell trouble for Meyer. Fans will have their eyes fixated on this bantamweight scrap.
