Two more fighters now possess the title “Bushido veteran,” as heavyweight Roger Ferguson and welterweight Regis Newton have been released from the Bushido roster. Both fighter's manager (seasonedbark) confirmed news of his client’s release via twitter on Sunday.
After giving the crowd a thrilling 1st round stoppage win at Bushido 25 over dangerous striker Leeroy Jenkins, Roger Ferguson has since been on a losing streak. His last fight was at Bushido 33 "Unbreakable" where he was defeated by Rick Bowman via 1st round technical knockout.
Regis Newton looked good in his welterweight debut as he was able to avoid takedowns and show some technical striking but was eventually defeated by Charlie Sheen via 1st round technical knockout. Newton fought 2 more times since then and was unable to win either match.
