The Fight Nerd was on hand for a special first look of the prototype build for THQ’s upcoming Summer video game release, UFC Trainer. Utilizing the Xbox Kinect or Playstation Move, gamers can now legitimately TRANE UFC. THQ developer Arturo Castro walked us through the mechanics of the gameplay and showed us how it works and what it can do, and answered a variety of questions on functionality, gameplay mechanics, replay value, and more on how this hopes to be a great workout for all levels and not just something for beginners.

Also on hand to explain their participation in the game was Scott Ramsdell of the NASM, who added general fitness moves to the game, and Mark Dellagrotte, head coach of the Sityodtong, who was one of the many MMA trainers who are featured as coaches in the game along with Greg Jackson and Javier Mendez. Please note, the only time I can show the screen is when I show a still picture of it which was approved by THQ. Otherwise, I can not show you the screen in actual gameplay, but I will give my review of what I saw next week. For now, enjoy the overview of THQ’s UFC Trainer!
